I'm embarrassed
to admit that my brain processes movies like it processes jokes: I can watch them over
and over again and never remember the ending. I'm a great audience.

Do you do the same thing with books? I do, and I consider it a gift, not a handicap. Once I find a good book I can read it again and again and it still seems fresh to me. Or I delude myself into wondering whether it will end the same way this time as it did before. It's a whole lot easier to enjoy reading when you can re-read the same books and enjoy them as much as the first time, instead of having to keep finding new books which might or might not be worth reading!

Did you ever see "But I'm A Cheerleader"? One of the best movies of the year. Little Megan is a cheerleader, but her family and friends pull an intervention and send her to "True Directions"- a camp for sexual identity challenged teens. This has an out-of drag Ru Paul in it. It's a hilarious send up of everything I like to see sent up. Mr X and I bought a copy, it's that funny.
