CNBC David Winters MSFT double in 3 to 5 years.

Ever heard of MSNBC? CNBC is probably not really the single most objective source of unbiased information about MSFT.

He didn't mention MSFT going up and splitting another 8 times so the glory days are over.

That must just be an oversight. For MSFT's share price to double 8 times, its $300B market cap would only have to increase to $76 trillion. That would certainly be a reasonable target, because it's not THAT many times higher than the world GDP.

"I think most of us realized that about 2 years ago"

Now that's a funny statement. What you need to do to refresh your memory is read some post from 2 years ago. If you do, you will find one poster who said MSFT was going to pull a IBM, 175 to 45 and back, MSFT had to reinvent itself, the investors on this thread was taking the DOJ too lightly, this recession appeared to be like 1973 - 74 market goes down a couple years then 5 years to recover. You do realize who that poster was, don't you. It was not you, so you get one more guess.
