Doug, all alternative technologies do not have presently adequate research funding available and there is no chance that under this administration who is heavily indebted to the oil industry any serious funding or research will be done.

The hope is that alternative energy will emerge in to the media which will tilt public opinion and force funding to this segment.

Solar is promising in Southern States but shale oil is also quite abundant. Methane Hydrate is the most attractive and "clean" energy source, and there are lots of deposits available, as such the most promising source of energy IMHO.

So if speaking about a 20 year horizon - alternate energy and water related industries have substantial potential growht
