Hi Mike: The LMDS spectrum is completely unusable for mobile applications, since it requires line of sight. MMDS is at the borderline between line of sight and non-LOS. In essence mobile applications require the ability to use multipath signals which do not necessarily include a LOS component. However, from a legal point of view, the option of stripping away MMDS spectrum from FON, WCOM and BLS without incurring a huge compensation (> $10B) does not exist. Best regards, Bernard Levy
