The US has a higher GDP per person then the EC

The statistic is meaningless to the average American, because 95% of that wealth is held by 5% of the population.


It is also true that the average American has a higher personal income then the average person in the EC. If you want to argue that this average is distorted by the super wealthy in the US then fine, but it is also true that the typical American has a higher income then the typical person in the EC.
