one is generally referring to a theory about the mechanism It appeared to me, in that post, that the author disputed that Global Warming was occurring. That has nothing to do with mechanism. Maybe Global Warming is occurring and maybe it isn't, but it would never be a theory, it would be a fact or evidence. Just because a lot of people are ignorant about how to think does not excuse people who come up with their own "theory" about how science works and then try to push some policy based on their imagination. That kind of sloppy thinking spills over, in fact it spilled over pretty much all of Junior George's policies. TP
