Like the 50% haircut the stock suffered when windows 2000 came out? This argument is a non-statement, MSFT will always be making SOME new product of some kind. Doesn't mean it will sell. People arent buying PCs anymore because they are saturated. Windows 98 works fine. windows 2000 has been a complete disaster. Why would XP be any better>?

Head pimp Merrill Lynch said X-box would cause msft to lose 4 billion dollars during the first 2 years of launch. We all can see how profitable building hardware turned out for Sega and their dreamcast. Or Atari and their Jaguar..
