Winstar Files Form 12b-25 Extension for Filing Form 10-K NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 2, 2001--Winstar communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: WCII), today announced that it has filed an extension for the filing of its annual report on Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2000. In the filing, Winstar stated that, "The Company is engaged in discussions concerning certain material transactions which have not been completed. In light of (1) the uncertainty over these potential transactions and (2) the required use of corporate personnel and resources that would otherwise have been used for the preparation of the annual report on Form 10-K, the Company is unable to file such report within the prescribed time. The Company expects to file its Form 10-K not later than April 17, 2001." Winstar will provide no additional information or comment on these developments at this time.
