Kodiak, I don't see any Vikings on the horizon but seeing the battle of Hastings is possible. The blood flowing in the street may be that of the Salisbury plains.

Those who like to draw lines on charts can see that although extreme, a straight line drawn on the Nasdaq from the early '90s to now might see us back to almost 1000.

Kodiak Tomasso and Don.

Kodiak, based on the quality of your BELATED post memorializing the latest plunge into history, I think I can speak for the thread and state that you are forgiven; temporarily. Try to be there for us when we get a new opportunity for a history lesson. By the way, if you are making these things up you will be given extra credit for imagination and daring. If you know these things without looking them up, never admit it. gg

Hopefully you will not have to look back before the birth of Christ, but that's just a guess. If that happens do we call THE bottom?

Don, where are you? Hamstrung by hungry coyotes, cornered by crazed cougers, bloodied by bullying bears, or is it your spouse that had rendered you speechless and spent? At last report you were about to begin some project? Ed

Tomasso, I plan to use that eloquent piece of poetry the next time I get the chance to woo a beautiful woman. I wanted to try to improve it with the verse:

Syphillactic
Hallucinatory
Embellishment
Paved the way,

but I couldn't spell syphillactic and it didn't have that singsong latin cadence that speaks so softly and pleasingly to the fair sex. I acknowledge your mastery and will duly report the success of my endeavor when known. gg. Ed.
