<I think it is intended for new users. It was never intended to be "upgraded" but I would assume, and I really don't know, that the "upgrade" would be to replace it with win2000X.>

I know, I sort meant that as a joke. The "upgrade" path is to "replace" ME. Now I don't know, but I would assume you do a clean boot of in a SECTOR of your disk, and then copy over the programe and files of the other programs, which should be easy to do, if your 4 machines are in a little network. SE,and 98 have built in networking, all you need is a $10 nic card or even lap linc if you don't have a network. I assume ME has the same network feature software built in, but I don't know. If you can't partition the sector, then you could do a clean boot. I assume 2k will run every program that runs in ME, it may not run them in the unix like manner of the 2k kernel, but it should run them.

But again, I am guessing. I have old dos programs from 1984 that I still use, I would NEVER go ME for fear that they would be one of the "incompatabilities" that were resolved by ME...by simply leaving them out. :))
