Well James,

You MAY be right, it could be the MS part of the PeeCee that causes all of the problems, In case you wonder if I am a Mac centered nut, YES and I also have a dozen PeeCees One of which sits beside me doing what it does best.

Saving the screen!

If I leave it on and do not do anything to it or on it, it may be up for 2-3 days (wow a world record) before it crashes. If I do anything else it will usually crash half way thru the printing cycle.

This stupid machine (the PII 333MHez) crashed by updating itself to daylight saving time. I swear. Now it is reset on who knows what time? The control panel has just corrupted itself. and it will not open the time/date panel

PeeCee's are just wonderful for pedestrian items such as using only MS software, then you can be up for the maximun time allowed 48 hours.

I only have one Mac because that is all you need. This is my new mac it is 2 1/2 years old. The last Mac I purchased before this one, was a 1988 Mac IICX which I used every day until I purchase this unit. I use this machine about 10 hours a day 6 days a week.

Oh by the way, I am using a G-3 to type this. I will be upgrading to the New Mac OSX software this month or next and I most likely will add another 500 meg of memory to the G-3 as I am running only 224 Meg now.

The new software is intense, so to take advantage of the unix system I will run it like a computer. and not a toy PeeCee.
