National Instruments says strong U.S. dollar hurt Q1

AUSTIN, Texas, April 2 (Reuters) - Scientific measurement products maker National
Instruments (NasdaqNM:NATI - news) on Monday said the renewed strength of the U.S.
dollar reduced the company's first quarter revenues by about $3.5 million compared with the
fourth quarter of last year.


Expect to hear this excuse a LOT this quarter, along with the "higher energy cost" refrain. I'm looking for export-oriented businesses as nuclear short strike candidates here....
