Shoibal, when I said >If the company is so terrible, why buy the stock at any price< I was talking generically about posters on other threads talking about other stocks.

I don't think AMAT is undervalued. I think it's overvalued, but holding up because it's in favor. I bought some last week because I thought it might not become much cheaper. I have no idea which way the stock goes short term. I'm prepared to buy lower or higher.
