John, I don't think the world is about to end, nor is the United States about to go out of business. I do think that a huge amount of fraud has been perpetrated on the public, especially in the Nazdaq.

I'm thinking of IPO's, recommended by investment bankers, that should never have gone public, money losing companies endlessly touted while the insiders dumped their shares for hundreds of millions of dollars, and companies like Cisco that "beat the street" by exactly 1c for 14 straight quarters. Then there is the problem of accounting stock options and investments as operating earnings, etc., etc.

Maybe this will all go away and the market will have a nice soft landing. I'm willing to change my mind, but staying short.
