I agree that server blades, which fit into the overall new server architecture of modular design, are the future. Also Infiniband. But, what do these necessarily have to do with Blue Arc? From the limited amount I know about Blue Arc, I thought their claimed advantage will be speed of addressing in accesses to storage, inside the storage box. Server blades won't necessarily be all that much faster. Seems like Blue Arc is doing a custom, dedicated bit slice design of a very fast storage access ASIC, for which a blade, or any kind of server, doesn't substitute very well.
