I agree. It is a remarkable statement. There doesn't even need to be a direct assault on US shores for a real harm to our national interests which could seriously affect our quality of life and liberty. The Middle East is a good example. Should some theater nukes start flying in that region, it would create lasting chaos. JLA

I didn't say that there are no serious threats. I said rather clearly, I thought, that I think the Russian situation is a serious threat. I do not think that China poses a serious threat. What do you expect the Chinese to do that will pose such a serious threat to our security?
