I ended up selling 4,000 NTAP shares with short term losses of around $100K or so and keeping 4,000 NTAP long term shares. With the proceeds I purchased an equivalent dollar amount of EMC shares.

So, I have 50% of the sector in NTAP and 50% in EMC, along with a nice tax loss of $100K or so I can use against gains.

(SecBull: You see, a non-emotional transaction)
