Just got our Plastik-Fantastik MARGIN CALL forced selling ! .....WHODAFREEKINTHUNKIT ? - right on schedule at 10 am - good little margin clerks doing what they're paid for ! Nothin' like the smell of roasted chihuahua in da' mornin' C'Mon $19 PDE , $5 PKD, $38 RIG, $45 CAM - I know you can do it.... Ohhhhhh the pain, ohhhhh the humanity, ohhhhh the poor little 4-legged hairless bastards that got those nasty GAS PAINS today (roflmao)~ Gotta go, still enjoying pushing my wheelbarrow full of CASH thru the ashen ruins of the Chihuahua boneyard-killing fields... starting to be some tasty meat morsels to pick off of the bone's here - just nibblin' on calls; as its still just NIBBLE territory imo - OSX 100, 88ish impossible you say ? - not if Crisco starts the Tech pot boiling & China and the Mid East keep the world roiling & Janus & First Hand Funds et all; keep getting run by the shorts. We STILL have NOT seen capitulation yet and that final volume led crescendo is yet to come... PS: ... as usual; no one on any other threads has talked about one of the great "End of the CYCLE" indicators used by many, many Institutional Oilpatch investors & that is when Oil Inventories cross over to 300 M BOE in conjunction with a slowing economy - it's OVER in their mind. The arguement is whether this is final ROLLOVER, or a "part deux" mid-cycle shakeout . I think the odds are good that it's a repeat/part deux; Deja Vu - all over again; mid/late cycle shakeout - but don't confuse that with being a "Mad Max - Margin" opportunity; it is NOT - not on any sane, risk vs reward basis it's not... It is "average in" for one last final OSX upleg trade however imo and being in LATE CYCLE stocks is the pre-requisite for winning this play. Offshore drillers are the absolute no-brainer here. E&P's are history - this should be an indisputable fact for anyone with a clue here. E&P's trade on commodity price cycles - and the peak combination of Oil & Gas prices has clearly passed us by. Secondly; why would ANYONE with a clue to life; take these stocks to old, let alone new highs; into lower cfps & eps numbers in late 2001 & 2002 than what we've just seen and/or are going to report this qtr, or next ? How could the Chihuahua's REALLY be this slow on the uptake ? - honestly; did they really think that everyone was going to keep bidding these stocks up right up to the last reporting quarter to where eps & cfps went up; and then all sell in unison right before the first negative sequential reporting qtr ? ... are the Chihuahua's REALLY that freeking dumb ? (that's a rhetorical question folks ~ as it's all in black & white) I still like "Calls" as the play on this one last OSX rally leg imo. Both Limit & Define your downside and maximize your cash & buying power; as there obviously is going to be one hell of a Tech Buying Opp ultimately as well and Cash is STILL King in this environment and fwiw; by the way... I think that I can count on less than one hand; the number of posters who have been regulars here on SI SD over the last year or so; who have traded in & out and around a MACRO call of being in 40-50% cash steadilly since last fall when CASH was King and when rotating out of Black Gold strength & into Yellow Gold weakness & shorting Tech was indeed - THE HAT TRICK... Well let's see what the API's have for us... the RIG's, the PDE's, the RDC's are buys here - but, they are "Average BACK In" plays imo - with the keyword there being "back" in - because you should have allready been out (VBG). Whether we base at OSX 105-108ish here, or that prior intra-day low of OSX 95ish, or hit the 80's - no one knows; it's as much to do with broad market external factors here as not... so "Averaging BACK In" and perhaps utilizing "Calls" here in late cycle vs. common shares - preserving & maximizing Cash for other opps & once again, minimizing & limiting downside is the play... As allways; we shall see in the fullness of time... For now - It's Time to Enjoy the Chihuahua Roast & enjoy the fragrant whiff's of melting Plastik~
