I don't believe the lower rating is due to analysts. AMD have got an extremely large and powerful main competitor, which controls over 80% of AMD's main market. That's a good enough reason by itself to give AMD a lower rating than INTC, all other things being equal. With the recent market moves, I doubt anyone with financial sense listens to analysts any more. Their comments are all paid for by lavish meals and round the world flights and trips - I've been to some of those dinners as a guest. There are so many conflicts of interest that what they say isn't worth jack. I don't think you can ascribe AMD's rating to them at all. Neil.
