11:55 ET Semiconductor Industry Assoc. : The Semiconductor Industry Association announced that February sales slipped 6.9% from January levels but were up 5.8% vs year-ago levels.

Today is beginning to look like a capitulation day... Many steep markdowns... The VIX is not yet showing the type of selling panic seen at bottoms... The Dow is below 9600 support... The SPX is below 1150 support... The Nasdaq is below 1800 support... But the volume is not what panic bottoms are made of... So, the Dow tests 9000 and possibly 8600... The SPX tests 1100, 1080 or 923... The Nasdaq tests 1500 and maybe 1250... These lower levels will finally squeeze out those last remnants of optimism... Good areas to try and catch falling knives... : >
