John, <<<So is technology a slow to no growth area for the forseeable future? Or is the market wrong, should you be buying these companies at these prices? >>>

It is pretty obvious. Technology is going to take us into the future. Change will occur much faster over the next 100 years than all the years before. Bookmark this and we will come back 100 years from now and I can tell you I was right. Right!

But, what does that have to do with the stock market? Over the long term - everything, but over the next five years - it's anybody's guess.

Just as the bull market took everything to ridiculus heights, the bear market can take everything to ridiculous lows.

Most people do better in a bull market. They like to be positive looking and feeling optimistic. A rising tide lifts a lot of boats. A lot of the pollyannas get carried along.

It takes a different type of personality to thrive in a bear market. That is when a lot of the sickos come out of the woodworks. They get energized when companies fail and a lot of people are laid off. Some of these negative personalities may even thrive economically - most will not - but they will feel a lot better when others are suffering.

But over the longer term, technology will rule, economies will be healthier, and people will be better off.

But sickos will have their day - it's only fair.
