Standard Oil rides again - Exxon-Mobile is the biggest cap in the Fortune 500.

(Exxon was Esso which was Standard Oil of New Jersey, aka Jersey Standard. Mobile was Standard Oil of New York, aka Socony. Split up in 1911. Back together again as Exxon-Mobile.)

as i said before, it's flattering, but i'm a bit uncomfortable with this ascent to gooroodom...

still, it's gratifying to know that i helped quite a few people to preserve their capital by warning about the bubble in a timely fashion.
