<RR, you are completely right about asset allocation. But why do you persist in discussing it when the other thread was started to discuss
stocks?>

gene, i've said this all before. because i believe that most of us are here first and foremost to make money. and as one of the new econ crowd, that's why i read and occasionally posted to the new econ thread (not one of the regulars like you or mf or wh or gr i mean). but in a market like this, it is just irresponsible to blithely pretend that all is peachy keen in the new econ stock stock sector. i no longer put you in that category. over the past month or so you have been more realistic. we all come to these realizations at different times and for different reasons and that's fine. (you will probably want to debate me on when you became more bearish. i am willing to accept whatever you put forth. i am just commenting on my perception at this point in time.)

but on the other hand, the creator of that thread still seems to me to be about the only one that is still deep in denial. (and i've talked on this thread about how genuine i believe that denial may be, but that's a whole 'nother confusing topic.)

good luck, rob
