<<present market actions appears like "fear" relative to an irrational bubble top. compared to long term stock valuations, this market is waaaaaaaaay overpriced even after the swift fall.>>

Many stocks are. At the risk of boring those who've read my post re:this before; I vividly remember scanning the WSJ market pages in the late 70's - early 80's (Is my timeframe right on that? The memories tend to blend.) and noting that there were very few stocks with double-digit PE's.

Granted, as an individual stock, Qcom could fall relatively far from here. I'm not a big believer in "rolling capitulations". The bottom will be marked by outlandishly low prices. Remember the proclamation of The Death Equities! a coupla' decades ago?

More importantly, where will these companies be in five years?

........VVVVVVVV

Was no "naz" in 1929. Some PE's on the NYSE in '29 were over 50.... Fox Films, RCA.....

BTW, Yahoo's market cap has dropped from 141 billion to "just" 6.5 billion! What a crash!.. at some point I'd think someone would want to buy 'em out.
