sam...no rush on the drillers. Fundamentally they're OK, but the market is in "liquidation mode". The OSX made a nasty break in the past few days, I think they're gonna retest the lows around 90. Good companies, and I think they'll do well (especially NG drillers like PDE). Perhaps throw in a few low ball bids, GTC, and wait for 'em to come to you.

I'm waiting for a bottom on drillers. I was waiitng for 95 on OSX which was the correction last December but with the weakness in the over all market I won't touch anything until 85 which is support going back to the end of 1999

i'm a little bit wary about the near term prospects for oil, since the crude shortage due to Iraq's failure to export during December has worked itself out of the system without any noticeable effect on the market...but long term i remain bullish on oil based on the global Hubbert peak approaching.
so if the drillers get whacked hard enough, they may be worth looking at again. i wouldn't be in a hurry though...the wave structure of the OSX is not very encouraging right now.
