I think you should be taking a closer look at the IDCC/Matshusta/Infinion deals.. Probably more in the making as we go forward..

Like it or not..(IMO) QCOM now has competition in the W-CDMA royalty business! The band of merry-making 3GPP will soon announce that in associatIon with IDCC.. They have enough IPR to do W-CDMA.. (minus QCOM).
