I recognize that there are problems in our society that cause people to go off the deep end. Drugs, economical stagnation, lack of hope, poor education, etc. I have previously posted that we need to also fix those problems. However, any solution to these problems would be long term, as they are rooted in our society and culture. In the short term, we are shooting each other at an alarming rate. People are not killing each other because they own guns, but guns make it a lot easier to work out whatever other problems or aggressions that they have.
