Only personally. I can count 5 AMD based pc's I and family members bought last year (only 1 last quarter). If given the chance, I would help purchase hundreds of AMD based duel processor servers. They simply have to put one out through a major server producer (SUN, Compaq, Dell, etc).

Scumbria,

I bought three AMD CPU's last quarter. If everyone in America did the same, AMD would make over $50 billion for the quarter.

Did you do your share?

I bought 2, but the top of the line, so I hope I did my share. I just go them delivered today.

As far as earnings, I would be thrilled with $200 million after tax earnings.

Put me down for 6 AMD CPU's last quarter. So I guess that means if everyone did this we'd be looking at $100 billion for the quarter. A billion here and a billion there and pretty soon you'll be talking real money. (tm Evert Dirksen)

Kindest regards on a painful day,

Re: "Did you do your share?"

I bought 3 Durons... in the past quarter and facilitated the purchase of another Duron system. [Still] waiting for 760MP... then I can buy processors in pairs.

DDR is suddenly looking very nice. Crucial's PC2100 prices are rapidly affecting PW entries. I should complete a memory update for JC's site late tonight (so earliest publication would be tomorrow - Wed).

Pricewatch has seen the entries for PC2100-256MB increase from 48 to 65 or so in about 40 hours while the Avg5 price has dropped by about 30-40% (guestimate). Of course, the highest remains 6% above the direct Crucial price. And the one real low entry last I checked, from Lynns of course, said "click on Micron banner" please which makes me wonder if Lynn's is just being a portal to Crucial? Haven't looked. Trying to write some web articles and prepare for home network installation with SMC Cable/DSL Router sometime soon ($84 @ Outpost after rebate).

Will post link when memory article is written and up.
