Don- nice post.....someone needs to tell those yahoos on bubblevision that's there is no such thing as "money heaven".... Perhaps that's why so few understand the de-basing of the dollar thru excessive printing by the Fed....everyone thinks they are just "balancing out" the losses in the market...

Maybe if we tell enough people they'll get it, but it's a hard concept to get, and a hard concept to express. The person who helped me understand it best was Grace, but you and Thomas M helped too. I ran into a guy I haven't seen in a while. We used to argue about the stock market. I asked him if now he thought I had been right about the market and he said no, he still thought he was right. He said of course he was down but these things happen and he's in it for the long haul (he's around 50). I asked him if he had sold anything and he said no. He said he didn't have dot.coms, he had blue chips like IBM and HP, and he was far better off than he was five years ago. I just let the matter drop.
