jmootx, it's interesting about o'neil, because i thought that his appointment, and the bush administration (being a southerner in the oil business) would end the era of strong $, not just because that would naturally be their bent, but because the $ sentiment has just been to outlandish for too long, just like the bullish sentiment on equities,

get real people, this isn't the end of the world as we know it, the dow never belonged at 10-11,000, the nas probably never belonged at 2000, let alone 5000 -gg-

the markets were sent to bullish extremes, not on any sound business principles, but foolishness of speculators, just like it has happened all thru history.

I suspect the Over the Counter market - OTC, which during more reasonable times has been considered a market that only the foolish would invest in, and in these extreme times has been considered a monument to investing and the 'place to be', will again return to a place that only fools and gamblers put their money, i think the nasdaq/otc market is headed a lot lower than anybody can imagine, i believe that at least half of the otc market will be delisted within the next year or two, if you are holding onto or averaging down in some crap nasdaq paper that is not showing earnings and has a shaky balance sheet, you should admit defeat, the chances of catching the next msft are about lottery odds.
