Consumer spending report please <ggg>!!! When you have time that is! SC, March numbers are down particularly in non durable goods. People are not spending presently. I can say for sure jewelry sales will be down and apparel in the Northeast will be down. Apparel is sometimes weather related so I do not know about country wide. There is still strength in deep discount categories in which Wal-Mart, Kmart and others participate but not as strong as they had forcasted. Bottom line is it is not good. Glenn
