I, for one, am not the least bit interested in dropping $400+ on a screen that is "acceptable".

It clearly shows that the quality of the m505 screen really depends on who is looking at it, and what considerations that person is using. For me, battery life is the number one concern. It's always a bad color screen if it wears too much on battery. In my opinion, the m505 should sell pretty well. I might change my mind after I see it, but at this point, I would rather have the m505 than the m500 or any CE device out there.

Meanwhile, the quality of this thread is getting ever worse. I might as well go meet Mark and chat in a coffee shop or something.
