Great question, but don't you think that QCOM would have bought out IDCC if they thought they were a threat to their wCDMA royalties?

It doesn't say they need to pay, just that the agreement covers those standards. I think it's safe to say if they use IDC patents in IS-95, then they pay.

Also notice it doesn't say they pay the same royalty for every standard.
