The old sayings goes something like this. Buy quality companies, invest for the long term, buy at different levels, blah, blah , blah. Most importantly, always take some profits off the table. And more blah blah blah. I have had WIND in my portfolio since the NASDAQ was at 1500 and I have sold some at much higher levels and bought more at not so much higher levels. For anybody who is selling now, the point is mute. Not anywhere does the old saying states buy high and sell low. Maybe the NASDAQ will hit 1400 or 1200. As far as I am concerned, for the long time investor, it's too late to sell, so BUY.

That's because the market has been at historically high valuations. Continued p/e compression (falling stock prices) could bring up the percentage considerably.
