Doug - Re: "do you know if Intel will manufacture any PIV's on .13 micron and 200mm, or will they wait for the 300mm wafers?"

I am fairly certain that Intel will introduce 0.13 micron Pentium 4's (Northwood) manufactured on 200 mm wafers - late this year and continuing into 2002.

Intel needs to get volume .13 micron Pentium 4's as quick as possible and the 200 mm wafer process will be the only volume process for quite awhile.

Further, Intel's 0.13 micron Pentium III requirements should be rather modest - high end mobile CPUs and some high end desktop Pentium IIIs possibly. Thus, the real use of the 0.13 micron 200 mm wafer process should be for Pentium 4's.
