What about MY freedom to not be endangered by all the handguns around? Or the guns that are available to criminals and crazy teenages? I'm willing to compromise, and say that rifles/shotguns can be had for self defense at home. As far as 'freedom', there are restrictions on your freedom. You can own a nuke. You can't go around killing or beating people you don't like up. You can't build your own biological weapons. Why? Because they endanger the people around you. So, for the good of society, we make laws to protect people, while restricting their rights. Why is that so hard for you to understand?
