SO- What more could the Fed possibly do here that would really upset the downtrend? They have already injected 150 BP.....have been pumping liquidity thru repos/daily measures in a big way since December....it seems that not only is the market incorporating into prices that recovery isn't coming until at least 2002, but also that the Fed is pretty powerless to do anything here...

I mean, all the old metrics (buy after 3rd cut), prices higher 6 months after cut....are going/going to go by wayside here...this time IT IS different...

And, to boot, unless Greenspan wants to drive the dollar into oblivion, he is not going to do to much more here 50-75 perhaps? If so, surely the marginal impact of that should be less than the original 150, and all the daily pumping.....and we all know how far THAT'S gotten the markets..

i suppose there remains the possibility of a "surprise" cut...but, c'mon....that'll hold these markets likely less than a day, before the selling continues.....and AG knows it.....

This is mal-investment and debt problem...ain't no quick or easy cure.

Let me join the chorus in congradulating you in some truly terrific calls....my hat's off to you!
