I wouldn't put much stock in that either way. Bids can change dramatically day to day on a stock like AMAT.

This is counterintuitive, but a bigger bid size isn't automatically bullish nor is a larger offering bearish.

The saying (and WallSt has plenty) is "stocks trade to size." Which makes sense when you consider that the market posted by the specialist (listed stocks) or the market makers (OTC) does not reflect all the orders standing in the crowd or outside the quoted market that are looking to do size. A big bid brings out the big seller that was waiting to get something of consequence done.

Or at least it did 5 years ago.
