Why do we have to give the credit for the recent economic boom to our preferred candidate? For all their collective faults, it was the unlikely team of Gingrich and Clinton who seem to be the best candidates for this credit. Disfunctional, sometimes abusive, certainly combative, but it seemed to click into lower government spending, a balanced budget, and a booming economy.

I know this will not be a popular view; Republicans generally despise Clinton, and most living things despise Gingrich (ok, editorial license). But to give credit to 'Reagan Tax Cuts' is as far fetched as 'Nixon Wage and Price Freezes'...
