God is the totality of being, of creation, of life... Hmmm... you sure you've read the same book as I have?? Exodus 29:11-37 tells you how to get some animals, kill them, chop up their bodies, wave body parts in the air, burn the carcasses, and sprinkle the blood all around. Or how about Deuteronomy 17:2-7 where God tells you to kill everyone who has religious views that are different than your own? Or maybe Deut 22:2-7 where God tells you to kill rape victims if they don't cry out loud enough? Maybe 2 Chr.13:15-20 where God kills the king of Israel and helps Abijah kill 500,000 Israelites? Maybe Jer.14:12,24:10, 29:17-18, 42:17-18, 22 is even better where God promises to kill everyone by war, starvation, and disease? Maybe you forgot about the flood, the plagues, etc? Mal.2:3 "Behold, I will corrupt your seed, and spread dung upon your faces." 1 Sam.2:2-3 "Thus saith the LORD of hosts ... Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass." Ezekiel 32:5 "I will strew your flesh upon the mountains, and fill the valleys with your carcass. I will drench the land even to the mountains with your flowing blood..." Isaiah 13:9, 13:15 "...whoever is caught will fall by the sword. Their infants will be dashed in pieces before their eyes, their houses will be plundered and their wives ravished." Shame God forgot about Exodus 20:13, "Thou shalt not kill." God was also big on slavery: Ex.21:20-21 "And if a man smite his servant, or his maid, with a rod, and he die under his hand; he shall be surely punished. Notwithstanding, if he continue a day or two, he shall not be punished: for he is his money." He/she/it was really good on women's rights too: 1 Cor.14:34-36 "Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law. And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church."
