Seriously, I know of no one among politically active Republicans who has insisted on a religious litmus test for government appointment...... Perhaps you and I are living on two different planets. Or perhaps I'm just more conscious of it than you since it's a pet peeve of mine. I'm working hard here to avoid the word, disingenuous. I have not bothered to remember let alone document the many times I have heard that, so common is it. I know it came up often during the campaign, particularly during the Lieberman days. I know that our President has said it. He's a pretty prominent Republican. I'm not inclined to do the research, but I'll be sure to let you know when I run across such a statement in the future. Karen
