murrey...don't believe all you read....it's not what it appears to be.....

look at the disposable income level of even those that live in the major cities......the prc has come a long way, still has a way to go....but the resistance to open market is based on the ideology....too much western think, would upset the balance....hard line hasn't softened....it is becoming evident again in how they handle this "incident"...

i've never viewed the prc as a profitable market, this is from first hand experience...any venture is structured in a one sided way......you invest, they profit....and when they learn your techniques and manufacturing process, they do it themselves.....the non occidental mind may give an appearance of subordination....but it is all part of the game....as in "i need you only until i don't need you"...trade patterns have already been established in developed markets as japan, korea, taiwan....this is no different....when developed they will be an on balance exporter to the usa...
