tony, i've been saving for years to get me through just such an event. however, too many people never learned the lesson of the squirrel.

good times? dis-save. bad times, suffer.

tough love and economic violence is something i tried hard to avoid. all the way up the bubble i expressed the insanity of it all. nobody listened, but a few heard. the bubble created this present disaster where 1000s and 1000s and 1000s of layoffs are announced every day.

You don't move all your money to gold on a one-out-of-ten chance. That would be extreme and dumb.

You do, however, salt a bit of money away and lower your debts prudently, just in case.
