Bob ..

I'll get some pulled up and posted later after the market closes ...

got a crew in my back yard working right now
and another one on a jobsite I need to check on ...

to briefly answer the strain question ...

I use ONLY ATI vid cards ... quit all the rest ....don't even have any laying about not in use .... other than an old S3 that is on the email box
and
a dualhead Matrox with tv out ....
still playing with that one and wish I'd spent just a tad more and got a Radeon ATI ..... gggggg

BUT
I try to use the smallest mem in them that will give me the resolution I need ...
right now ... all the multiple monitors I have are being driven by a discontinued product ...the Charger series ... some have 4meg ,some have 8meg ....

I've not noticed ANY strain and have had 4 running for long periods of time ...
and that could contribute to the lack of strain ... dunno ..

my office is in the upstairs area of my house ...
the multiples DO put off a bit of heat ....
didn't use the fireplace up here at all this winter ......ggggggg

Bob ..

the arstechnica site is one I really like ...

they do an excellent job there ...
one I find to be very helpful, not just in building a box, but in debugging too .....

here are a few I use all the time ...
mkdata.dk
tutorialfind.com
216.242.22.13
geocities.com
techadvice.com
pcpitstop.com
crickrock.com
techtv.com

I see Esteban has sent you a couple, the AMD one is worth making a hard copy from the Adobe pdf file ....

it is good, not just for AMDs ...

but my fav is still the very simple ars one you have started on ...

should you need some more ...
I'll see what I can find on another box bookmarks ...

if you "peek" over at the overclocking stuff, you'll get hooked ..... heehehehe
