I think that there is a tradition in the semiconductor industry of customers / suppliers working together.

So in good times - volumes are increased etc prices rise.
And in bad times the converse.

And generally contracts have major escape clauses if a customers biz goes way down.

An example of a win/win deal can be as follows:

lengthen deal from 2 to 3 years. (takes care of 30% unit volume discount.

Agree on other product sales to replace lost flash sales etc etc.
