Andreas, Do you know what you are talking about or are you just grabbing a figure out of the air? There is a huge difference between $20 and $7.

“ AMD’s agreements provide not only a shield, but also a sword, and AMD is not afraid to wield it." A sword? If your figures are right then Alcatel would be getting decapitated.

I really don’t know what the contract calls for since I have not read it. Obviously flash prices have collapsed since the contract was entered into. Is there a provision that contemplates relief when market conditions, like they are now, call for it? Maybe AMD should be working with their customers in this extraordinary tough time.

So far, nothing has been heard from Alcatel. They may claim AMD violated the agreemnet for reasons unrelated to prices. Who knows?

More important is, what will be the effect of the Flash Market slide on AMD since approximately 40% of their revenues come from flash memory. On April l8th, we will see if AMD revenues have been hurt or not.
