Not sure of this; the direct effect is rather that no one will be eager to break contract with AMD.

However maybe we could see little less announcements à la "AMD supplier of the year"

Anyway, there is no real friendship in this industry.

You know the saying.
"When you have them by the b*lls, their hearts and minds will follow" applies here.
There are enough differences in flash methods of production that the parts are often unique, even though on the face of it they have the same specs. These differences will ensure a good demand for flash.
As for price declines, well that is normal in the product cycle.
