Just tuned into the Internet after being away for several days. Nothing posted on this thread since this a.m. sounds anything like what the TA experts and money managers I personally have heard over the past several weeks have been saying.

They have steadfastly said (as late as a few hours ago): Naz is going to 1500 if not lower. Keep your cash in your pocket. Don't expect a turnaround or anything remotely like a "V" bottom in the next six months or even a year. You need to be in value stocks, or energy/utility stocks, or carefully selected stocks whose names we probably wouldn't recognize.....and what's worse, a dreaded "credit crunch" is a possibility in the coming months---in which case we should all head for the hills.

As one money manager said, stock symbol "MM" looks pretty good right now....and that stands for Money Market.

Good luck everyone. I'm down in my long positions like everyone else....and I don't short. Just passing along the mantra that I hear every day from people much smarter than I am.

Well Moufassa, looks like my yard work was more productive than the NAZ. I am still sitting on the sidelines - maybe an occasional daytrade or scalp - I know you have had 1610 as your target - was that an interim target for this downleg - or something lonegr term you've focused on?
