1 - But the Bush administration stood firm in its refusal to apologize. and 2 - "We need to bring this to a resolution and we're using every avenue available to us to talk to the Chinese side to exchange explanations.'' I agree with both. We should not apologize until and unless it can be shown that we were at fault. Its unlikely we were from the little bit of information that is available but it is possible that can change as more information comes out. Tim, Not admitting guilt may be a good strategy but don't be surprised if we don't get the plane and crew back quickly. ted
