I'm responding to the cyberbullies, not my conservative friends. We can and will continue to debate the issues and ideologies. "To me liberalism is a synonym for socialism" Well, if that is your definition, you'll find that most of the people you think of as liberals actually don't qualify as such. I don't even think you could make a good argument that Ted Kennedy, who is REALLY a left liberal, is a socialist. A lot of Democrats (most?) are fairly near the center, and share views with the moderate Republicans. So, we are probably closer together than you think. To say that Conservatives get everything done is the kind of statement that decreases your credibility. What you are saying is that half of the people who voted in the election are worthless, being carried by the other half, is ludicrous.
